Extreme Heat Watch this week

 

The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat watch this week. It’s a good time to remind you how to protect yourself and loved ones with a few tips:

  • Stay indoors as much as possible, preferably in air conditioning.
  • Drink plenty of water even if you don’t feel thirsty.
  • Take cool showers or baths to cool down.
  • Check on friends and neighbors.
  • Never leave children, pets or animals in a car.
  • Check your local news for updates.
