The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat watch this week. It’s a good time to remind you how to protect yourself and loved ones with a few tips:
- Stay indoors as much as possible, preferably in air conditioning.
- Drink plenty of water even if you don’t feel thirsty.
- Take cool showers or baths to cool down.
- Check on friends and neighbors.
- Never leave children, pets or animals in a car.
- Check your local news for updates.
